Viaggio Fotografico in Italia 2026: Sguardi tra Milano e le Alpi

My journey through Italia in 2026 was a profound experience, a tapestry woven from the grandeur of ancient architecture, the raw beauty of alpine landscapes, and the heartwarming simplicity of farm life. From the bustling, design-forward streets of Milano to the serene, majestic peaks around Prad am Stilfserjoch and the haunting beauty of Lago di Resia, every moment offered a unique photographic opportunity. This collection represents my personal exploration, capturing the essence of diverse Italian experiences, from the intricate architectural details that tell centuries of stories to the curious gaze of an animal from a sun-drenched pasture. It was a privilege to witness and preserve these moments, finding beauty in both the monumental and the mundane.

My Photographic Journey: Techniques and Inspirations

During this trip, I relied on a versatile array of equipment to adapt to the varied environments and subjects. Each piece played a crucial role in bringing my vision to life:
  • For capturing the expansive alpine panoramas and the intricate textures of historic castles, I often reached for my Sony Alpha 6300, paired with the E 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 OSS lens. This combination proved invaluable for its reach and clarity, allowing me to frame distant peaks and the subtle details of medieval frescoes. The Canon EOS 700D with its EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II lens was perfect for wider shots of cityscapes in Milano, like the towering Unicredit spires, and for more intimate portraits of the farm animals. The compact Sony G8141 was always ready for quick, unexpected captures.
  • Lighting was a constant challenge and a creative opportunity. From the bright, often harsh sunlight reflecting off the snow-capped mountains and ancient stone ruins to the softer, diffused light filtering into the grand interiors of historic churches in Milano, I had to adapt. My ISO range 40–1600 was essential for maintaining image quality across these diverse conditions, ensuring details were preserved whether I was shooting an altare barocco or the submerged campanile of Curon at dusk.
  • The geographical and historical context of this trip was incredibly rich. Exploring Milano meant capturing both its modern pulse and its deep historical roots, from contemporary skyscrapers to ornate baroque organs and sculptures. Venturing into the Alps near Prad am Stilfserjoch offered a dramatic contrast, with ancient castle ruins perched precariously and the unique, melancholic sight of the campanile sommerso di Curon nel Lago di Resia. These locations, so different yet equally captivating, truly shaped the narrative of my album.
  • My photographic style leaned heavily on capturing authenticity and emotion. Whether it was the curious snout of a calf peering over a fence, the majestic lines of a baroque altar, or the rugged beauty of a village in the valley, I aimed to convey the feeling of being there. I focused on composition that highlighted both the grandeur of the scene and the smaller, often overlooked architectural details or the expressive eyes of the animals da fattoria.
This journey was a testament to the enduring beauty of Italia, a land that continually inspires with its history, its landscapes, and its vibrant life. Every click of the shutter was an act of discovery, a moment frozen in time to share.
